Pinnacle Alloys E308-16/E308H-16 has a nominal composition (wt.-%) of 19.5 Cr and 10 Ni. This electrode has a restricted carbon content of 0.04%-0.08%. This provides for higher tensile and creep strengths at elevated temperatures. We offer Stainless Steel Welding Electrodes in different type of thickness, specification and dimensions. With Grade (AWS A5.4) E308, E308L-16, it is being used for different applications such as for welding. Stainless Steel Electrode AWS E308-16, welding of 0Cr18Ni9 and Cr8NiTi stainless steels and working temperature is below 300℃. The deposited metal (19Cr-9Ni) is austenite tissue, with good mechanical. WELDING ELECTRODE CLASSIFICATIONS MILD STEEL COATED ELECTRODES E7018-X E Indicates that this is an electrode 70 Indicates how strong this electrode is when welded. Measured in thousands of.

Alloy ER 308L is ideal for welding Types 304L, 321 and 347. This classification is the same as alloy ER 308, except for the carbon content. The carbon content is held to a maximum of 0.03% to reduce the possibility of intergranular carbide precipitation. This increases the resistance to intergranular corrosion without the use of stabilizers such as columbium (niobium) or titanium. Strength of this low-carbon alloy, however, is less than that of the columbium (niobium) - stabilized alloys or Type 308H at elevated temperatures.

E308 Electrode Specification Meaning
Application
E308-16 is designed for welding of the following 18-8 stainless steel types: 301, 302, 304 and 308. The weld deposit has the proper chemical content and balance for satisfactory welding of type 308, and therefore is suitable for welding 18-8 types of lower alloy content. Sound weld metal and corrosion resistance equal to or greater than that of the parent metal are assured.
